Antique and vintage textiles are our specialty at Easy Street Antiques. Here's what we try to have in stock at all times:
Antique, vintage, and collectible HANKIES. We always have lace and linen hankies, especially wedding hankies, floral print hankies, as well as groups of floral prints, child's print hankies, monogrammed hankies (if you don't see the right initial, just send a message,) and embroidered hankies, especially petit point. We also have vintage holiday hankies, especially for Valentine's Day Mother's Day, and Christmas, of course. And . . . we have collectible souvenir, travel, and novelty hankies. We always try to have designer handkerchiefs from Tammis Keefe, Jeanne Miller, and Pat Pritchard.
Antique, vintage, and collectible SCARVES. We always have a good selection of vintage Vera scarves, including her ladybug scarves, mod floral, and geometrics from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. We have usually have scarves from other designers, like Oscar de la Renta. We always have vintage wool paisley scarves and heavy 1940s cotton floral prints, as well as post-war silk floral scarves, and collectible souvenir, travel and novelty scarves.
Antique, vintage and collectible table linens. We always have tablecloths from the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, especially Depression era floral print tablecloths and fruit print tablecloths. Tablecloths, runners, napkins and towels from companies like Wilendure (Wilendur,) Startex, California Hand Print, and Simtex. We try to have Eames era print tablecloths and towels. We also keep formal white-on-white damask linen napkins and tablecloths, as well has nicely embroidered table linens. (We really try to avoid the tacky.) We also stock antique and vintage bed linens, including embroidered pillowcases, white-on-white, lace and linen pillowcases and sheets, and vintage print pillowcases. AND, hopsack linen towels!
Antique, vintage and collectible lace. We stock antique and vintage lace by the yard, needle lace and bobbin lace collars, cuffs, yokes, and doilies. We always have vintage lace curtain panels, doilies suitable for framing, and lace for crafts and doll clothes. We also try to stock figural lace doilies and tablecloths (when we can find them!) We always have lots of tatting and crochet lace, sometimes for pillowcases.
