I've heard people call this "caviar beading," which I don't
really get. The beads are plastic, and they are fused to the
fabric of the bag. Don't you love this bag, though? It is SO
cheerful! Goldtone frame with large kiss clasp. Handle is
deeply padded, completely beaded, and a 6 1/2" drop. Navy
blue cotton lining with one pocket and the "Made in Hong Kong"
tag. Pouch measures 10 1/2" wide at the widest point, by
8" high, by 1 1/2" deep. Mint, never carried!

Frankly, I can't date this bag. But, it is just as cute as
it can be, while being nice and roomy and practical. It is
a deep half-circle (or maybe half-oval) that's made of pine.
The travel "stickers" are actually the brightly colored print
on yellow cotton canvas. Lots of brass studs on the straps and
a "VG" logo, which doesn't ring any bells for me. 12" wide at
the base by 7" high by 4 1/2" deep. Mint, with the exception
of some small bangs on the wood finish, and I think those are
intentional.

Long, large, hand tooled leather satchel completely lined in
very dark brown pebbled leather. Full-sized pockets on both
outside sides of the bag, both with top-stitching trim. One
full-sized pocket on the inside. Two handles with a 6 1/2"
drop. Heavy metal zipper closure and four brass feet. Hand
done lacing in perfect condition. Bag measures 15" (!) wide
by 8" high by 4" deep. Generous side gussets. Mint condition.
Perhaps never carried.

Contemporary Latico small satchel that I bought by mistake,
thinking that it was older. Made in India. Black pebbled
leather with white top stitching. Aluminum-colored metal
handles with a 2 1/2" drop. Enormous metal charm for zipper
pull. Lined with heavy cotton blend twill. One zippered
pocket with leather trim. 11" wide at the widest point, by
7" high, by 5 1/2" deep. Absolutely mint, never carried.

Wow! You'll stand out this summer with this vintage 60s Roger
Van S. bag on your shoulder! Tightly woven red cotton mesh
with permanently affixed facetted plastic beads in red and navy
blue. Lining is tightly woven red broadcloth. One inside
pocket with metal zipper. Label says, "Designed by Roger Van
S. / Made in Hong Kong." Completely beaded strap has a 14"
drop. Also completely beaded bag measures 12" wide by 7 1/2"
high by 3" deep. Bag is very floppy! Mint, perhaps never
carried.

Have you ever seen a bag like this? With a delicately made,
separately applied leather chain on the front flap of the bag?
It is really, really pretty and very unusual. The "stitched"
lacing is unusual, too. Tongue and loop closure. Self-lined
with its own suede. One full-sized, inside pocket. Strap has
an 18" drop. Bag measures 9 1/4" wide by 6" high by 2 1/2"
deep. Nearly mint. Pristine interior.
